October Mystery bag

Mystery bags have a new theme each month and include 4-5 surprise books and an adult craft kit. The October theme is "Thrills & Chills!" and will include a selection of thrillers, mysteries, and spooky spine-tinglers.

The craft is a doily spiderweb.

SAVE THE DATES for a special FUNDRAISING EVENT. Attention all SCARE enthusiasts! We DARE you to experience an evening of terror! JOIN US at SCARY on the PRAIRIE for a night hike of horror! Prairie Madness was a real condition experienced by early settlers. The tall prairie grasses created feelings of isolation and claustrophobia which led to fits of madness. Many got lost and died in the prairie . . . or did they? Dark tales of spirits, monsters, and ghouls preying on settlers began to emerge. Was there something else out there? Hidden in the grasses? Waiting for dark? Put your terror threshold to the test. Can you survive the prairie after the sun sets? Tickets available soon. What to expect: • Groups of 4 or less – NO EXCEPTIONS • Recommended 8 years + to attend (parental discretion) • Ticket sales for time slots (timed entries) • Signed waivers required (minors must submit a waiver signed by their legal guardian) We hope you make it. Acrylic Paint Along Class

Join local artist, Kirsten Warrick, for an acrylic paint-along class at the Library! Attendees are encouraged to bring an apron, all other materials will be provided.
